What defines the Moss and Oak foundation?

Each edition is a 200g study in our signature botanical wax. This creamy, plant-derived base was selected for its structural integrity, providing a steady, disciplined burn and exceptional scent clarity. Our wicks are flat-braided cotton designed to curve naturally into the heat, creating a self-trimming ritual that maintains a constant, golden flame. How long does an edition linger?

Each candle is designed for approximately 50 hours of illumination. Enough to anchor many quiet moments. To achieve the full duration, follow the care guidance on our Ritual page.

How should I care for the flame?

Trim the cotton wick to 5mm before each light. On the first burn, allow the wax to melt fully to the edges of the glass to set the "memory" of the candle. Limit sessions to four hours and extinguish gently with a snuffer to preserve the scent profile. Full guidance is available on The Ritual page.

Can the vessel be repurposed?

The amber glass is designed for permanence. Once the wax finds its end, the vessel remains. A home for botanical cuttings, keepsakes, or studio tools.

What are the profiles of the current collection?

Are your candles vegan and cruelty free?

Yes. We use no animal-derived ingredients and do not test on animals. Our botanical wax is entirely plant-based.

Is it safe for a shared environment with pets?

Our candles are made with botanical wax and cotton wicks with no lead or zinc. However, we recommend burning in a well-ventilated space and keeping the flame out of reach of curious animals. If your pet has respiratory sensitivities, we suggest consulting your veterinarian.

Do you offer bespoke gift wrapping?

Our shipping architecture is designed for safe transit and a minimal, refined arrival. While we don't offer traditional wrapping for now, the unboxing is a curated part of the Moss & Oak experience. We are exploring gift options for future editions.

How is my edition documented and shipped?

Once your order ships, you will receive an email with tracking information. You can also check your order status by logging into your account.

What is the policy for damaged arrivals?

We hand-pack every order, but transit can be unpredictable. If your candle arrives damaged, please contact us at concierge@mossoakstudio.com with a photograph within 7 days of delivery. We will arrange a replacement.
